The Cores Do Samba Collective is a group of musicians from Cambridge and beyond who love to explore the popular music of Brazil as well as its jazz contaminations. Songs by Gilberto Gil, Chico Buarque, Tom Jobim, Baden Powell, Djavan, Joyce, Joao Bosco, Joao Gilberto, Ivan Lins, Joao Donato all feature in the set. We play in different set-ups, from piano or vocal trio, to quartet and larger bands, with and without drums/percussions. The music is rhythmic and uplifting. We are suitable for many different types of events and appeal to all ages. It is music suited to any social occasion, and we look forward to sharing it with everyone.
